Concern for the environment is everybody's business. We at Speedy Circuits do our part in whatever way we can. Nothing is too little when it comes to caring for the environment. Little things like turning off lights, air conditioners or computers when not in use make a big difference.
Since PCB manufacturing consumes a lot of energy, we who belong to this industry are very much aware of the importance of contributing to environmental protection. Here are some of the things that we have been doing to establish a more "earth friendly" business environment.
Speedy Circuits is clearly aware of its responsibility as one of global PCB manufacturers and committed to meet the requirements of both legislation RoHS and REACH for its customers』 products that meet environmental compliance standards such as the European Union RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) and REACH (EC 1907/2006. The significance of RoHS-compliant and REACH is to exempt these six hazardous materials Pb/Hg/Cd/Cr6+/PBB and HBCD/SCCPs/DEHP/DBPP/BBP/ 5-tert-butyl-2,4,6-trinitro-m-xylene from PCB products. Speedy Circuits offers laminate materials and manufacturing processes covered all bases that are compatible with lead-free assembly processes.
Hot water is essential for certain PCB manufacturing processes, such as gold plating, black oxide solution immersion and washing of silkscreen stencil among other things. By installing a heat exchanger, we are able to reuse the heat produced by the air compressor, resulting in lesser energy used. The recycled heat is also used for heating shower water used by live-in workers in our dormitory.
Used water that is free from any chemical content is used in board surface pretreatment during imaging and solder mask process. This helps reduce the amount of waste water needed to be treated.
We use energy-saving LED, instead of fluorescent, lighting in all our facilities, saving 30-40% in energy consumption.
We don't use this kind of material for PCB packaging fillings. Recycled corrugated paper is used instead.
We make it a point to recycle all printer cartridges and purchase paper made from recycled material. We also make it a point to use both sides of a sheet of office paper whenever possible, or cut it into memo-sized piece of paper, which can be used when jotting down notes. Effort as little as this helps reduce not only the cost of additional paper supplies, but also the amount of trees that are cut down every year.
